Our Story
Simran. I am in my 30s and suddenly a single mom. After years of torment I escaped an abusive relationship. My marriage ended, my family at risk and my career at a standstill. Debt. My dreams shattered. There is no pathway to fairytale marriage, or family. My dreams of enjoying a strong family, becoming a doctor and having my own practice, gone.
Ed. My career was humming. Kids older and independent this was the time to really maximize life. Nearly 30 years of marriage done. We grew apart a little by little since the beginning but didn’t realize the extent of the gap until it became an abyss we both fell into. So I have a great career but no family. Abandoned. Shattered. Empty.
Through a random Facebook post, Simran and Ed became reacquainted. When Ed commandeered a white horse down Main Street Fort Worth to pick her up for dinner, they were two broken people. They had a great meal and drank a gallon of coffee and commiserated and consoled. They eventually closed the restaurant around them. Simran and Ed canceled their next evening dates with others...and so it began.
With fear and trepidation and baggage, they moved forward. They determined to take the lessons learned, the good and the bad, and really create something special. It is not always rosy but wow, 10 years later and still smitten.
And it happened. Brokenness healing and staying intentional, they kept their focus on one another. And now. Their kids. OMG, all of them are the best kind of humans. Character. Empathy. Loving. Honest. Nice. All educated and running independent businesses. Super proud of all of them. Record executives, Financial gurus, Models, and Entrepreneurs. Videographers.
Simran. Stabilized, She earned her MSN and she is now a doctor. She runs her own clinical practice helping others be their best.
Ed. His career briefly paused, became the CIO of the world’s best organizations, and a CEO, and is now running his own consulting firm while sitting on Boards of health systems and companies.
Together. 10 years later. Still broken. Imperfect. But damn life is good. Marriage. Family. Career. Balanced. Integrated.
